With school less than two weeks away, it is time to plan for your child’s afterschool programming care. Registration is on a first come, first served basis and space is limited to 6 children for September 2009.
Priority will be given to children who need care from Monday-Friday. If there is still space available by October 5, 2009, children on the part-time waiting list will be offered space.

We are currently undergoing the licensing process through the PEI Child Care Facilities Board and when successful will be one of a small number of licensed child care homes on Prince Edward Island. Licensing is governed by the Child Care Facilities Act and Regulations.
I believe in being accountable to Island families. A family day care home can have up to 6 children (including the owner’s own children) without needing to obtain a license through the child care facilities board. By obtaining a license, it will allow the center to enrol one more child and bring the maximum number of children to seven. I will update you with the procedure to a home day care must go through in order to get a license. I am currently completing the paperwork to be passed into the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development on September 8th, 2009 which will be reviewed by the Child Care Facilities Board the following week.
